MetalFX® Technology is a Universal Process and Spot Metallic Colour System (UPSMCS). The technology is patent pending and is readily available under license to the print industry. Using MetalFX®, it is possible to print millions of metallic colours and special effects in only one pass of a five colour press, reducing press time and costs. The system incorporates MetalFX® colour palettes; giving rich, vibrant colours.

What is MetalFX® Base Ink?

MetalFX® Base Ink is an essential ingredient for producing MetalFX® Technology. The ink is specially formulated using a high luster silver pigment to produce high quality sheen. The MetalFX® Base Ink is an additional ink to the normal CMYK printing process. MetalFX® has appointed Wolstenholme International as one of its strategic partners for the global supply of silver ink. Wolstenholme International is pleased to announce that it will be able to provide specially trained MetalFX® technicians to help with any questions or issues which may arise with the supply and successful application of MetalFX® inks.

A less aggressive sealer can be used that does not decrease the luster of the metallic, leading to contented customers and increased cash.
