Initially available in
the USA, Asia, Eastern Europe and Turkey,
Wolstenholme is introducing PELLEX™, in partnership with
METAFLAKE LTD, a new generation of metallic granules
which are dust free and pourable, providing ease of
handling compared to powder and pastes. They will
provide cleaner handling and processing, ultimately
leading to improved working conditions and less waste.
PELLEX™
aluminium grades are based on 'Silver-Dollar' pigments
and are made in a unique process that contains no
solvents thus eliminating any odour in the final
product. The PELLEX™ range is introduced alongside
Wolstenholme International's well known tarnish
resistant technology which provides excellent
resistance to both heat and chemicals.
PELLEX™
granules comprise of 70% metal and 30% wax based
carrier system. They do not require further dispersion
and can be added directly when injection moulding,
extruding, calendaring or blow moulding, however for
more precise metering of the pellets, their initial
concentration can be reduced by preparing a
masterbatch.
