Our tarnish resistance metallic pigments provide a
wonderful palette of high lustre to full-mass colour
tone shades in plastic applications which include
masterbatch and blown film. Applications include
extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding, rotational
moulding, deep drawing, thermoforming, vac-forming and
calendaring processes.
All Tarnish Resistant grades provide good
heat and chemical stability, however with
an ability to withstand temperatures in
excess off 300º at extended dwell times,
PTR grades would be our recommended
choice.
PTR Tarnish Resistant
grades are an enhanced development of the TR range and
offer a cleaner colour, more consistent coverage and
vastly improved dispersion characteristics compared to
conventional, industry standard TR grades. The PTR
grades are suitable for aerosol, spray and brush paint
applications.
The real benefit lies in PTR's stability over lengthy
dwell times when exposed to high temperatures;
conventional bronze powders can oxidize fairly rapidly
under similar manufacturing conditions.
